Your Messy Experts on Divorce

Professional Wisdom Meets Personal Experience

We are two outspoken Gen-X psychologists who found ourselves on the leading edge of an increasing trend towards divorce in 2018 and 2019. Each of us chose to divorce, ending our lives as we knew them, but we also took turns in supporting each other through trauma, tears, bravery, vulnerability, extremely foul language and a cocktail or two. From the inherent difficulties of divorce, we both emerged, thriving into new lives not just stronger women, but more reflective and informed psychologists.

The thousands of personal and private text messages emails and conversations we had during our divorces and well into our recoveries have become the basis of a book we feel passionately about. Currently in development is our book, How to Divorce Like A Psychologist. It is the book that both of us would have wanted to read when we were going through the process of ending our marriages.

Partnering together, we hope to share our wisdom, support knowledge and skills from our experience with divorce and as mental health professionals to help people divorce like the relationship experts. Psychologists don’t get a pass on the shit life hands us, but we do go through it differently. Take a seat on a couch with us, not across from us to have vulnerable and genuine discussion about divorce that is both personal and professional.
